Just curious: I've seen a few posts recently of CZ's that had blued finishes, not the standard black polycoat. Anyone know when these were made and which models came in a blued finish? The two guns that I've seen were a .40 75b and a 9mm 75 Compact.

Many CZ pistols are available in alternative finishes; the majority are black polycoat- so you see the majority them for sale in store finished in black polycoat. (Think about a sunroof on a car in a dealer lot- not alot of sun roofs on the lot %-wise) The CZ-75B is available from the factory finished in black polycoat, glossy-blue, satin-nickel, or in a dual-tone finish, as evidenced by the drop down menu here:

Also, the CZ-75b is available in a new, stainless steel finish if you look at the catalog.

Interesting. I didn't know that they were so recently available. On the link that you provided, the blued 9mm 75B is listed as being discontinued in 2008. The blued .40 75B is still available.

As for the other finishes, I currently own a matte stainless 75B. It is, IMO, one of the prettiest guns out there. :D I guess that I'll have to keep my eyes open for a blued 75B...

EDIT: On a totally unrelated, but interesting note, I just did a Google search for "blued CZ 75B", and one of the pages that came up...was this thread that I started just over an hour ago. I guess that I shouldn't be so surprised, but it's a bit creepy how quickly the Google bots document and record everything that is written on the web...

My 1981 CZ-75 has a highly polished commercial blue finish. It's proven to be as durable as it is beautiful. I bought it new when I was in England.
