Believe me, I'm happier than most that yet another excellent Czech firearms (or alcoholic) product has made it over to the States, but I must say I am nonplussed; how does one make a direct blowback 9mm carbine for two grand?
I don't think even H&K aimed that high with the UMP
EDIT: I see that site quotes the MSRP at 900$. I wonder why the discrepancy on the 'net regarding the sale price (TFB)? At any rate, I'll take CZ's word over anyone's
EDIT 2: Watching the Noir video in the linked site, I'm a bit stunned. I knew the EVO was significantly larger, but sheesh; it looks bigger than a first-gen UZI! Probably a good thing, as any blowback smaller than that tends to have MAC-like uncontrollability. If the price is truly 900$, they'll have a winner, since the product is undeniably cooler than any 9mm AR, CX4, Taurus, or Hi Point, and a paltry 1/2 to 1/3 the price of the MPX (if it ever gets made).
Not sure I'd have called it a "Scorpion," though; there's nothing of the original left!
