I have a CZ52,Ibought a 9mm.parabellum barrel,which I reamed out to use my 9mm. largo ammo,which,unlike the parabellum,feeds very well.
Question, although accuracy is fine,I wonder if the twist rate of the two 9mm'sis the same
the para.barrel was purchased from the Makarov website, which no longer operates,so I can't
ask them what the twist is.And although I punched in"astra400 rifling twist I got no joy.Why do you suppose the brought up the astra Cadix?

The 9x23 Largo is not significantly faster than 9x19mm, and they use the same standard bullet weights. As such, I would think the original rifling twists are roughly the same. Having said that, 9x19mm guns range from 1 in 10" to 1 in 16", and they all seem perfectly capable of stabilizing bullets from 90-147 grains.

I have shot 9x19 in my Star model A 9mm Largo, never noticed any difference in accuracy, certainly no keyholing.

The 7.62x25 already operates at ~41,000 CUP, which is in line with the 9x23 Winchester ~40,000 CUP. I won't recommend firing the ammo as I don't know about the construction parameters of the barrel ahead of the original chamber where it was reamed out to accept the Largo round, but chamber pressures are virtually the same between the original loading an the Winchester round.

Althoug I probably can't afford it It's nice to know Ican use 9*23mm.
Thank you all for the info.
To MACH1v shooter,I once had an astra400,in england, where I could only get sten ammo,
when they came out with 2z ammo,I had to put a tapered reamer down the chamber
because the high power caused the bullet to expand into the chamber and sheared off theback of the jacket, thus preventing the next round from chambering so I had to lessen
the step into the rifling.
