Well, I missed them all at that price. Good, I didn't need another impulse purchase
So apparently the method for swapping the barrels was loosening three bolts on the action and slipping the old barrel out.
It sounds like that if the three screws weren't properly torqued, they could back out, letting the barrel slip and increasing headspace, which could have a nasty effect.
The solution is that they're now epoxying the barrels into the reciever.
From what I've heard. I reserve the right to be wrong. If anyone has a more concrete answer, I'm all ears.
Thinking on it, if someone tried installing the barrel on a closed bolt, instead of an open bolt, it might be the root of the issue.I have absolutely no firsthand knowledge but the 600 has the bolt recesses machined into the back of the barrel similar to an AR15 or a Sig cross, so that is not possible. If the barrel were to slide forward it would not affect headspace, but perhaps it could cause some other issue. I watched this video this morning showing the barrel change. There is a notch and pin like an AR15 to prevent the barrel from rotating, but I can't see anything preventing the barrel from sliding forward other than friction from the clamp bolts. If the barrel side forward more than a few millimeters you just wouldn't be able to get the bolt far enough forward to turn into battery.

I watched a video just today where a representative of CZ states that the barrels can be swapped but only by a qualified gunsmith, otherwise the warrantee will not be valid. Tell us how you really feel. Now they are selling plastic stocked ugly POS just like American companies
I really like mine to but wish I would have grabbed a few actions when cz was selling them, they were about $400 bucks which seemed a bit crazy since you could have a whole new cz527 for about $100 more then. I regret not buying a few factory stocks when cz had them on there site, remember when the fs were discontinued they had stocks for a little over $100.I really like my CZ527 in 7.62x39. I don’t mind plastic stacks to a certain degree. Some are not too solid and others are just plain funny looking.
Since you asked, the stock is too long, the barrel is too short which both contribute to the rifle being out of ballance. The action is a push feed which while it can be very accurate it also can have a weak extraction system. Oh yeah and the black plastic stock is just plain ugly. Just one old hunters opinion.Tell us how you really feel.

Looks accurate enough to qualify as a CZ.The caliber conversions went bye bye some time ago. I have a CZ 600 Alpha in .308, good rifle. Light, accurate, handy, not a match rifle, but more than enough to put meat on the table if I ever get out hunting. I do agree closing out the 550 and especially the 527 line was a mistake.
I've posted them there before.Looks accurate enough to qualify as a CZ.
FYI, someone over at the CZ forum was hoping to hear your accuracy results: https://czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=119834.30
See Post #36.
I guess they're not "close-outs" cause Optics Planet is listing them again with the $100 rebate, but the price bounced back up to $671.99:
Search - EuroOptic.com
Optics, scopes, & more for the precision marksman and serious hunter - Nightforce, Swarovski Optik, Vortex, Sako, Leica, Blaser, Tikka, Trijicon, & many more.www.eurooptic.com
I called them last week to verify we were all set with my FFL info and they said mine (.308) should ship in about 10 days as they're expecting a shipment in.
Hope mine is in the same batch. I'll be pretty peeved if I don't get it in time for the mail in rebate.
That was/is my concern...
I figure once we hit DEC IF the rifle hasn't shown up I'll contact someone at Euro or CZ and find a solution. The extra $100 clinched it as far as I'm concerned. I still don't really have a need for this one other than it was a good deal.
Heretic...My days of buying wood stocked rifles are over. I love them but I have enough walnut and blued steel to take care of.
I do totally agree with your comment, something very similar to the 452 series in 22 cal.Think cz maybe regretting stopping production on the 527/550 which are selling like hot cakes 3 times the price used then these new 600s.
Yeah same here, I really don't need it but it was a good enough deal I couldn't pass it up.
