CZ75 compact or CZ100 for reliability and CCW??

Thinking of buying one of these and would like input on both...

Does anyone use these guns for carry and how is the weight and size??
I would also like to know how the reliability is on these guns, and what prices have any one else seen??Thanks! drf

I don't have either but I do have a CZ 75 P-01 and a CZ 75B. The 75B compact is heavier than my P-01 since it has a steel frame instead of aluminum. The CZ100 is lighter yet. The only real downside I see to the CZ100 is the fact that it is DAO and the CZ75B compact can be carried cocked and locked or hammer down for DA first shot. I don't like DAO guns and I don't like Polymer. So the CZ100 is definitely out for me. I do think it is a good gun. I haven't read much about but what I have has been very positive.

The CZ 75 design has been around longer than I have. My P-01 and 75B have been ultimately reliable. And accurate.

I don't own both but have shot both.

The CZ-100 FEELS like a Glock 19 OUGHT to feel, but the trigger is a real pain in the butt. (It can get better with time, and the guys on the CZ Forum have founds ways of improving it.) And unlike the Glock, you have restrike ability with the trigger.

Good fit, good pointability, light weight. Nice gun -- except for the trigger.

Any of the compact CZs -- the Compact, the PCR, or the P-01 are worth consideration, they vary in weight depending on the frame construction: some are steel and some lighter alloy. Good triggers that can be tuned to be great. Superb pointability; great ergonomics. Heavier.

You can also look at the new Rami, which is similar in design, but a bit smaller. (Available in 9mm or .40.)

I have a number of CZ and carry the Compact CZ-75B. Like the gun a lot.

I love my CZ100. Its what I CCW with. I've only had it for 6 weeks & put 5oo hundred rds through it so far. Not one malfunction yet. As far as the trigger it just takes some getting used to. Once you get used to it your ready to rock. Your just not going to empty it as fast as a Berretta.

Well you have CZ oranges and CZ apples. Both are very different but have great qualities of their own.

The Compact is the only Compact with a steel frame and is Cond 1 capable.
Its very well made, trigger is usually good/great, nice sights, very low recoil, very nice pointer and everything else Walt said . He's right.

The CZ100 is about the same weight as the PCR/PO1 CZ's. They are a poly gun but arent that light given what they are. They are wonderful to hold....very very nice in your hands.........but then theres the TRIGGER!

I once heard the trigger equals "The little plastic guns that shot yellow and red discs you had when you were a kid".........they are pretty much right on the money with that one.

You have two good guns to choose from.....but very different ones at the same time. Which has the better features/cost for your needs. Both will be a great CCW for quality and accuracy etc............so I wouldnt worry about that........

CZ 75

I dont have experience with CZ 100. I haven't shot it, but it felt a bit awkward in my hand, after the CZ 75. It is a very flat pistol which some would fancy for concealed carry, after all it seems suitable for that.
I have shot and regularly carried a CZ 75 B as my personal concealed carry weapon, and I now say it is one of the best pistols you can ever get your hands on, also on a very reasonable price without compromise of quality.
CZ 75 I purchased had a very nice trigger out of the box, and I find it very accurate at ranges about 50 meters almost, 50 yards. This is not a distance for combat shooting of course, but you never know if you would ever engage targets that far.
Though it is a double action pistol, I always cock the hammer before I shoot to get the best accuracy. This is a very good pistol if you are in need of double taps since it stays on the target.
I would suggest buying a standard one instead of a compact, since their size really doesn't differ that much and the line of sight would be shorter in the compact, as well as two less rounds..
I would go for Glock for a polymer gun, but for classical choice CZ 75 is a real wonder nine.
