Cz75 Ipsc

Hi there folks...
in the market for my first "REAL" Semi Auto, love the CZ75, but i really fell in love with the IPSC version as i want to go into this sport as well as just range shooting. Anybody have any opinions (good or bad) on this gun. Any thing i should look out for

I've played with the original guns that the IPSC model was copied from, as well as a handful of the IPSC's. All in all, a great upgrade to a very nice pistol. Ted fixed some of the nitnoid problems with the CZ75, although I'm still not crazy about his trigger.

Shooting a few of 'em and watching one run in club matches every month doesn't a very good review make, but I've seen no problems at all with any of them I've shot or RO'ed shooters using. Reliable out-of-the-box, accurate, and fun to shoot...

I loved mine... best out of the box trigger I can imagine. Period. Under 2 lbs and very little creep. I really like the stick trigger but really DISlike the plastic trigger included with the CZ IPSC guns.

The CZ's grip does seem a bit bulky, too bulky for me, really. But it has a nice heft, hangs on target really well and, while I'm no Leatham or Koenig, moved from target to target perfectly for me. Having said that, I prefer the EAA Silver Team. Steel trigger, needs a bit of work but is lower in price than the IPSC. The Silver Team with trigger work by EGW is still considerably less than the CZ from the factory but only comes with two mags. And the Silver Team is ported, unfortunately.

I have a p9ultra that even says IPSC approved right on the slide. What a great gun. My only problem is that I burned the barrel out with 135 grain screamers and had briley put a new barrel in it after only 5000 odd rnds.

Wonderful gun.....around an inch at 25 yds for typical accuracy.
If it came in a 9mm it would be much more tempting for me...personally. The one I shot loved Corbon 135's......

"Ted" referred to "Ted Bonnett", former lead shooter for CZ USA. He was sent over to Czech with his super-customized personal Limited gun in order to set up the IPSC model. They basically copied it feature for feature. Ted is a very nice guy and an amazing shooter to watch, although now retired from the circuit.

All I have to say is buy one. Best pistol I have ever purchased short of some pretty heavily customized guns. It is a tack driver, has the best trigger I have handled on a factory gun, and fits my hand very well. True it is a bit bigger than the regular 75, but it has the same great feel. The weight up front tames the 40 nicely, with double-taps easy to hold on target. Only drawback I see is the expensive mags but then you face that with a number of pistols. I plan to use mine in IPSC when the weather warms up. I expect it can shoot far better than I can make it.

Is EAA still importing Silver Teams, and/or the other Tanfoglio "match" guns? I'd love to get my hands on a Limited...

As far as I know, they still have the Silver Team, Gold Team and Limited available.

For me, the Silver Team is pretty darn near perfect save the porting. If they made a model of the exact same weight, with the barrel extension non-ported, I'd get one in 9mm and 40 ASAP!

Plus, then you still gotta real gun (with a metal trigger ).
