A couple of weeks ago, I posted about a problem I was having with my new CZ75B. The slide would lock open at random times while firing. I called CZ USA and described the problem. They sent me a new slide stop and slide stop spring. The parts arrived a few days ago, but I didn’t get a chance to test the gun until today. I took 200rds. of ammo, the same type I was using when the problem occurred. I also brought along a Mec Gar 16rd. mag in addition to the two factory ones. I’m happy to say, through 200rds., I experienced no malfunctions of any kind. I’m very pleased with the help I received from CZ’s customer service and I also appreciate the suggestions I received on this forum. Now I look forward to taking the gun out to my brother’s farm and testing it with some hollow points. Unfortunately, I’m limited to indoor range ammo at my local range. Anyway, it looks the problem has been fixed and I couldn’t be happier. Thanks again for all of your help.

Additional note: I noticed that the original slide stop had some play in it. I could move it from side to side with my fingers, when the slide was closed. The new one fits much tighter. It has no play in it at all. I'm not sure if this is indicative of an out of spec slide stop or a weak spring. I replaced both parts at the same time, so I can't say for sure.

Nice to see that you are happy. Your gun should do really well with almost any brand or design of JHP.
