DA Revolver that shoots both 45ACP and 454 Casull?

Does a double action revolver exists that shoots both 45ACP and 454 Casull?

The Ruger Super Redhawk is one. The Ruger Alaskan is a shorter Super Redhawk also chambered in .454 Casull.

Now you can get a Alaskan cylinder machined to take moon clips that will allow it to shoot 45ACP. Not sure about the Taurus.

If you do that alteration, will that cylinder still shoot .454 Casull or wiil you have to swap it out when changing from one cartridge to the other? Seems to me, you'd have to swap.

No, you can get your cylinder machined for moonclip clearance without affecting your ability to use .454 and .45Colt in the same cylinder.

The S&W .460 can shoot .45Colt, .454 Casull as well as the .460 S&W Magnums.

I wonder, if they handle .45 Colt, if the .45 Auto Rimmed would work? Seems like it would be similar to shooting a .32 S&W in a .32 S&W Long, or a .22 Short in a .22 LR revolver.

No, if you cut it for the .45AR, which can be easily done, then no other rimmed cartridge would headspace properly.

The S&W .460 can shoot .45Colt, .454 Casull as well as the .460 S&W Magnums.

The X-Frames's cylinder can also be machined to accept moonclips to shoot .45ACP. Why one would want to is beyond me.
