Daddy's little helper...we believe in starting her out young on helping with the reloading! Our 2yr old helps by handing her daddy the .45 brass to deprime & size. And yes, she got her hands washed WELL immediately afterwards.:D

Love that Vic!!! Takes me back (quite some ways!) .. to when my son was handing me the 38 spl cases .. very similar ..... mind you he was well over the 2 mark!! Nearer five and more ....

He also used to watch me turning work on the lathe .. and the interesting thing is ... when he went to college he was way ahead of the other guys .. cos of pure and simple .......... observation!!

''Daddy's little helper'' will very likely be a budding handloader ... just by watching!

Keep up the good work.:)

Way to go, Vic. I had my oldest boy doing the same thing at about the same age. By the time he was 8, he was loading better ammo than my shooting buddies did. He has gone into the Army and is trying to con me out of my Gold Cup if he makes Number 1 in his graduating class. We'll see...

My three older children like to argue over who gets to help :D

They all take turns with the safety glasses and help in the variuos reloading stages. My six year old daughter is the most help. She helpds all the way from cleaning and sorting the brass up to the final crimp and inspection before it goes in the ammo box.

It's very rewarding and fun too!

Tell you what-none of my kids ever had a problem with fractions or decimal conversions in school.

I would also get them to help me with working on the cars and motorcycles-girls included in this as well. Helped to teach them the metric table as well as how to do basic routine maintenence on their vehicles.

Taught them all how to fix stuff around the house-sure, it took longer to get stuff done but I now have 4 children in the world who can take care of their stuff and can make a living with their hands if they choose to.

They are all gun owners-the boys are both avid hunters, and both of my daughters have regularly embarrassed some of their dates at the shooting range.

Teach your kids what the schools can't or won't. It's not only fun:D -it prepares them for life.

How cute!

Reminds me of nearly 30 years ago. Elder Son wanted to help Daddy at the loading bench. IIRC, it was his idea to place .45 ACP cases into the shell holder for me. He made a couple of attempts to adjust while the ram was on the way up (OUCH!). I thereafter moved him to my right-hand side, where he would sweep the case OUT of the shell holder as it came DOWN.

That was while I was still using a single stage RCBS press.

All due care, Vic. Don't want to scare the little dumplin' off shooting before she gets to enjoy the sound and fury . . . ;)

Best,
Johnny

Cool, I am not the olny one with a three year old brass feeder. She giggles when the round drop into the bin on my Dillon.
