Well, I taught my oldest daughter (10 today) how to reload her .243 back in February. Ever since then, she's been reloading, practicing, reloading more, practicing more in anticipation of youth deer season opening today. This year was the first year she's used her own reloads she did with her own two hands. Well, they worked great. Not only did she drop her second deer ever, but she dropped her first buck ever. That's not all....she wanted to go out this afternoon. Worked great again, she got a 2nd buck ever and for the day.
Talk about being a proud daddy. Her second deer, she made an absolutely perfect shot. Deer ran 20yds if that.
First buck of the day and of her life:
Second buck of the day:
Shot placement on second buck:
Her load is a 100gr Hornady BTSP over IMR 7828 with CCI 250's using Win brass. I'd say it did it's job very well.
