I offered to clean a pistol that was gifted to a friend. Turned out to be a Daewoo DP51 and I don't have the manual with disassembly instructions. When I first looked it over I thought that this ought to be an easy task but I can't get the slide stop out. Can someone give me a tip on the trick to this thing? I would appreciate it.

OK, this may sound a little vaugh but ...

With the (unloaded) gun in your right hand apply a little pressure with your index finger to the slide stop pin from the right side. Maintain this pressure while slowly retracting the slide. When the disingagement notch is reached the slide stop will pop free. Remove the slide stop and remove the slide.

Reasemble the same. Push in slide stop and maintain slight pressure while retracting slide. It will pop in when the notch aligns.

It is really easy but not as obvious as 1911 slide notches or CZ match marks.

Hope this helps.

That Did It!

Thanks Rangegod!
I was trying to get it out like a 1911 type pistol. You just have to know where that spot is.
