It's true that Hispanic culture is strongly family-oriented and the majority have a great work ethic, not to mention volunteering for military service in high numbers. But Cruz is like the Hispanic version of an Oreo, his last name is pretty much the only Hispanic thing about him, I doubt any Hispanics not already planning to vote Republican would go for him. Rubio would be a different story on that point.

She's a woman and even republican lady politicians have been shown to be wishy washy on the second amendment. Oklahoma's governor vetoed a couple gun bills that were widely supported in the state both this year and last year. The majority of women are scared of guns and that trait crosses party lines; I don't trust Fiorina with amendment two.

As for Fiorina vs Hilary, Fiorina tanked when she ran for California senate and nobody likes a loser. Just because Fiorina doesn't have a penis, doesn't mean she's qualified to oppose Hilary, who isn't qualified to be president because of anatomy she also lacks.
 
She did lose to Boxer, but California is like another planet.

Actually I haven't seen any statements from her on 2A. Have you?

Didn't Cruz hold dual citizenship? USA and Canada?

Yes he did. His mother was an American citizen. He renounced his Canadian citizenship several years ago.
 
We need to cut Hillary a break here. This woman was almost killed by sniper fire in bosnia. This American hero was running with her head down, ducking all that fire...narrowly escaping with her life. You would be pretty scared of guns too after surviving certain death like that!

First of all, Cruz isn't Hispanic. Do you even know what Hispanic refers to? It means of Mexican heritage. Cruz's dad comes from Cuba.

I keep saying LATINO. Latino means anyone from Latin America.
 
Only one pol has prominently displayed himself shooting an evil black assault rifle machinegun deathkiller with the same lighthearted frivolity as gun enthusiasts like ourselves...

...and he's lambasted for 'presenting an AR15 as a machinegun when it was really a semiauto'

...meanwhile, supporters have to reach out to the loosely-affiliated adult offspring of the leading candidate to find any evidence he might, possibly, maybe be pro-gun or at least gun-ambivalent despite living in New York his entire adult life while making occasional anti-gun statements (meanwhile, the other serious candidates have even more dubious records on the issue)

I guess we know why the Republican party has its nickname...

I can't fault Donald Trump for not being well known as a hardcore gun supporter. With his business lifestyle, he doesn't have free time to shoot much. In fact, I guarantee that if you invited him to a shooting range, he's more likely to bring golf clubs than a Holland & Holland shotgun.

I can live with that, but I can't live with Hilary as president and Trump is a slam dunk vs Hilary.

Actually, I believe he believes he has far more latitude than this. Imports can be regulated with EO's, even to the point of stopping them completely. Ditto foreign made ammo. I believe he can instruct BATF to refuse to grant new FFL's, Tax Stamps, and who knows how far he will seek to modify NICS to deny approval to whatever classification he believes should be disarmed.

He has already done this with regard to SSI recipients that use a POA assignee to cash their checks without congressional approval. Why not take a few wider swings at it?

A U.S. citizen that gives birth abroad gives birth to a U.S. citizen, assuming she is 19 years old at the time of the birth. ( I believe that is the current requirement). The reason for the controversy with regard to BO was due to his mother being under 21 at the time of his birth, and 21 was the required minimum age at that time to convey citizenship abroad. Had his birth occurred abroad as many allege, he would not be a citizen due to his mother's young age. This is not the case with Senator Cruz, as his citizen mother was of age for his Canadian birth.

There is only certainty that Hillary would push anti-gun legislation.

Like others have said, it is not just Hillary we would have to worry about if she won. It it is also who she could appoint that can be a bigger concern.
