Daisy 717 Screw-in Exhaust Valve in Older 880's etc..

I could swear I just posted this,............

Has anyone tried using the currently available Daisy 717 screw-in valve to replace the original in the old metal receiver 880's etc. ??

I cannot get one to work…the poppet is too long.

Online sellers claim they work perfectly.
