I recently picked up a Daisy 953 to play with in the back yard. It came with the diopter sight upgrade and one 5 shot magazine. I bought 5 extra mags when I bought the gun.
I’ve read that the gun is not quite as accurate when using the magazine so today I put 10 shots at 10 yards with and without the mags. The targets on the left were single loaded with the right targets fed through the mag.
Shots were taken standing using an improvised rest.
So it looks like there is a difference as the targets show. The difference isn’t huge but the groups fed through the mags are larger.
IMHO this is a lot of gun for $117.00
Not a lot of power here with 7 gr pellets averaging 467 fps and 8 gr at 433 but I didn’t buy it for the power, I was more interested in low noise and accuracy which this gun delivers.
