The Textbook of Pistol Technology and Design is filled with information focusing on technical innovations in the field of handguns at the turn of the 21st century and the extent in which these innovations are sewn into the fabric of a gun person’s everyday life.
In addition to gun principles this work offers an overview of the requirements for the importation of handguns into the United States, where pistols may only be imported when meeting certain criteria.
The book is divided into four parts including: manufacturing technology, weapon principles, U.S. regulations, and the evaluation of nine modern pistols with respect to commercially useful properties.
Here is more Information.

I've had opportunity to receive help from Dr Dallhammer (of Walther) when I requested some detailed information on the 99 series, as an armorer. He's a gentleman. He was patient and helpful to a degree not commonly experienced in today's business world. Refreshing. His comfortable familiarity and expertise with the subject matter is apparent. He can explain something complex in a simple manner, which is a gift (and infers true understanding of the subject, as Einstein would have appreciated).

Thank you for sharing. Wow, I did not know.
BTW, here is what one of my friends from Australia told me:

"It has arrived. I ordered through Shaker Verlag, Germany, directly. 85,98 Euro including postage.
Ordered on 11 June - arrived 28 June in Australia.
It is a very well planned and thoughtful book. The industry and regulatory implications on handgun design are mind boggling. I had not heard of Microstamping before. There is a lot of very interesting information in the book even for general Readers."
