Just to add some more fuel to the flames, I had the same questions about FEG's quality when I was looking for a Hi Power. I sent an email off to Cylinder and Slide, as I had heard a rumor they liked the FEG's. Mr. Laughridge was kind enough to respond personally, and stated that there was no practical difference between the FEG and the Browning, both were equally suitable for customization. The one consideration was if I was going to trade/sell it down the road, the Browning would hold it's value better. This being said, I wonder which version of the FEG Daly is using. Doesn't the new version have a few parts, such as the barrel, which are proprietary?
