I would like to sell my Dan Wesson 357 Mag with a six & eight inch barrel. Anyone know what they are selling for? Thans Norman

Answer... It depends. ;)
14, 15-2, which model (fixed or adjustable sight)?
Old or new (pork chop barrel or not)?
Monson or no?
Heavy vented barrels or slim?
Stocks?
Condition?

All will affect value for some buyers.

Having said that, $400ish for 6" and maybe sell 8" barrel separate for another $125-150ish or add it to 6" and aggregate asking price.

The best way to determine value, and perhaps the scariest, is to set initial price at a penny, no reserve price and see what the market hands you... (gulp) :uhoh:

Do a quick search on guns america or gunbroker and see what they are going for and price accordingly.

I would be careful about what people are asking on online auction sites. The best indicator of true market value is the "completed auctions" that actually SOLD. Gun Broker is full of guns that relist time and time again at rediculously high prices. Those guys are looking for the suckers, fools, desperate, rich, or whatever, and rarely sell. Hope this helps.

If real nice clean tight revolver with one barrel will go for 400 + or + 50. Barrel 100 to 150 depending on condition. hate to see you sell a revolver than can not be replace for accruracy. Short of buying a freedom arms revolver there is no other 357 thats a better shooter.

Go over to danwessonforums and chack out the venders following and ask there about a buyer. I have to many DW 357's now.

Greetings
After buying my first 15-2 in 1979 I decided to never sell a DW... I would sell everything thing else first to include my 454 BFR which is the most acurate revolver I have ever owned... near as good as my TC 41's ! But the DW's stay !

As others have said, $400-$450 for a Monson 15-2 in good condition. $100-$150 for the extra barrel.
Less for a Palmer or a 15 no dash.

Why would you want to sell it though?

About $400-450 for a very nice condition Monson gun with one barrel, add $100 I suppose for a second barrel. I had a 715 I sold because I didn't care for the problems I had with it, swore I'd never buy another, bought a real nice 15 which I'll never sell as it's a great, problem-free shooter.

As for accuracy, yes it is a very accurate gun. The only ones I've found to more accurate for me are my K38 Masterpiece and model 15 Combat Masterpiece, both .38 special only, so they don't count for as much, unless punching holes through holes counts :)
