Here's my deal, I have owned many polymer guns and currently own a PM9, HK P30 and HK45C, but I haven't bought a gun in awhile and I am really looking hard at a 1911, my first. The Dan Wesson Commander Bobtail sounds like an awesome gun. I want this as a carry gun along with my PM9. I don't want to layout cash so here's the scary part, is it worth trading in the two HK's? I am happy with both but I carry the Kahr more often and I like the fact of having another ccw in .45. I don't know how the 1911 will carry compared to the HK45C which is really what I'm getting at yet. I'm sure it will take the P30 in the deal to make it were I don't have to come up with cash. The lgs has the DW and I'm getting itchy but I don't want to be stupid either. Any thoughts?

Dan Wesson makes one of the best production 1911's. the Cbob makes a great CCW.
i personally didn't like the HK's that i've owned, so i'd do the trade.

I think the Dan Wesson Commander Classic Bobtail (CB0b) is the best all around carry 1911 available. The build quality is top notch. The trigger on mine broke at just under 4 pounds and it was perfect. The gun is stunningly handsome. The sights are fantastic, including the different colored front and rear night sight dots. It's much easier to quickly line up a different colored single front dot between the two rear dots when the rears are a different color.

The CBob conceals much better with the Bobtailed mainspring housing. It also feels so much better. My DW CBob made my Colt Combat Elite fell terrible in my hands. So terrible, that I took the trouble of installing an Ed Brown Bobtail on my Colt!

Trade the guns for the Dan Wesson. You'll be happy you did. Dan Wesson 1911s are amazing. The word is getting out. They're very hard to find.

Their coco bolo checkered grips are astounding as well. I got a set for my Colt and I they're the best looking grips I've ever seen on a 1911.

Gonna have to change your signature line from:

H&K 45C, H&K P30, Kahr PM9, KelTec P-3AT, Walther PPS 9mm, Taurus 94

to:

Dan Wesson CBob, Kahr M9, KelTec P-3AT, Walther PPS 9mm, Taurus 94

i don't think you'll be disappointed, and if you are, the CBob will be easy to sell since they are hard to get.

I sold my HK 45C to fund part of my Les Baer, but trading two HK's for one DW seems like a pretty steep price to me. I don't think you would have had one problem selling the HK's outright, buying the DW with the cash you made, and putting a couple of hundred dollars in your pocket.

Well, back from the lgs. I got her! S-W-E-E-T! :) Picked up an extra WC mag while I was there. On vacation this week so I'll definitely have some range time. Thanks for the advice.
