Darn was it cold today. I was determined to get to the range though. I only took 100 rounds with me; 50 rounds of Independence 230gr. RN and 50 rounds of Federal 230gr. RN. My first target was 10 yards away and here it is:
My second target was 10 yards away also:
My 3rd and final target I moved out to 15 yards:
Overall, this is the most awesome semi-auto I have ever owned. It is very light, but well balanced. The recoil was surprisingly mild. I had expected more especially since I was shooting 230gr. I had no jams or any other problems feeding ammo through it.
Now....my only gripe is that I got pelted in the forehead, cheek, and eyelash by ejected brass. It did not really hurt, but it caused me to flinch while shooting, hence my shots to the left of the target. I would have to say that 1 round out of every mag came at me like it wanted to bite me. I even had one land and go down my shirt. So....I absolutely love the gun, but would like to know what's up with the brass coming back at me? By the way I was not limpwristing and I had a firm grip on it while shooting. Thanks for any input.
Oh yeah...is it me or are .45's a pain in arse to take apart and put back together?!?!
