I went back to the range today to shoot the PT-1911 and my latest acquisition, a S&W 1911PD. I shot one target with the PT-1911 using 5.4 grains of Titegroup with a Rainier 200gr. JSWC:

I did much better this time with the 200gr. bullets. I was very happy with the results. I had one flyer (upper left hand corner), but the rest grouped very nicely. Next up was the 1911PD with Magtech 230gr. RN. One thing I really love about the 1911PD are the magazines. Putting rounds into them is sooooo easy. My first target was at 15 yards:

2nd target at 15 yards:

I am extremely impressed with the quality of the 1911PD. Shooting 230gr. RN out of it was nothing, and the recoil seemed to be soaked up buy the scandium frame. I had no FTE's or FTF's and the trigger is a thing of beauty. :D :D It pulls nice and smooth and then it gets to the point where I know exactly where it is going to break and I could hold it there forever. Once I get used to the trigger and aim a little to the right I will be good to go! Now when I get my Dan Wesson back it will be time for a comparison for sure. As far as the PT-1911 goes it is definitely worth the $525 I paid for it.

I like the 200gr. JSWC's I shot today. I loaded up 100 rounds and plan on getting to the range tomorrow to shoot them in the 1911PD. I think they will give me some good results. My Meister bullets are coming tomorrow too!
