I am a buyer of Dan Wesson and think they put out a good product. My most recent purchase was a Valor bobtail 45, which is a great production 1911, but I am looking for a 9mm 1911. So I purchased an Eco in 9mm. Does anybody have any current experience with this gun? I've heard the bad and alot of the good. What are your thoughts from those who have or have shot this gun.

Would love to own one but a little out of my range ($). But I am curious what "bad" you've heard about them? They seem to be universally well accepted from what I've heard.

I had a 9mm ECO for a while. The only issue I had with it was a relatively frequent failure to return to battery. I fixed that by installing a Wilson Combat flat-wire recoil spring for the Sentinel.

I've never heard any bad. I've owned both the 45 and 9mm and never had a single problem. They are incredibly well made guns. I highly recommend them. The 9mm is a lot softer shooting.
