A local shop has an excellent deal on a used Dan Wesson 44 revolver. I'm strongly considering buying it. What is the deal regarding service if the gun should break? Does the current Dan Wesson, owned by CZ, service older Dan Wesson guns? Anyone have any experience with them? And does anyone know if there are old "lifetime" warranties that are still honored (I would imagine not, but it never hurts to check).
Also, what about parts availability? Specifically, is there a place that sources the barrel nut tool and cylinder gap measuring tool? I doubt that those are for sale with the revolver I'm looking at. And does anyone make different length barrels for the Dan Wessons anymore, or is it just a used market at this point?
