I have an 8-inch Dan Wesson revolver that, even with the rear sight adjusted all the way to the right, is still hitting 4-6 inches to the left at 20 yards. For a while, I put a red-dot scope on it and yes, it became fabulously accurate. It also uglified an otherwise elegant revolver, so I took it back off. Anyone know of replacement rear sights that might have more windage adjustment than the factory original? Or any other ideas for bringing the hits onto the target? It's not my shooting style. This is one of many handguns, but the only one I'm having this problem with.

Thanks for any input.

Just a thought

I know little to nothing about DW revolvers, but is it possible that your's has the interchangeble barrels and that barrel/shroud is not "centered" properly.?

Another thought.. Dan Wesson is in Norwich New York.. A quick phone call and a nice field trip might just fix you up..

DW folks are great to work with. You might get it fixed while you took a tour of the facility

Talk to Keith or Phil.

Give them a try...

The Millett rear sight for Dan Wessons has more adjustment range than the stock sight.

Good Luck...
