Dan Wesson Titan 10mm

Dear THR:
After acquiring Dan Wesson HAVOK, I am out to get Dan Wesson Titan 10mm. Basically, I wanted a 10mm. I looked at Glock, EAA and SW. However, I did not anyone of them. Too common and nothing special. Then I gave nighthawk longalide and DW Titan a look, chose Titan. It may take a while, but I am for sure getting one imported.

Any experiences with Titan here?

I would appreciate any advice.

Not how you generally price handguns, but that gun is about $800/pound ... $3,800/4.8 pounds.

I'd have to load gold plated bullets to have the round match the gun.

Well, that's a first. Don't think I've ever heard the 10XX pistols referred to as "Too common and nothing special".

DW were a good deal years ago; Now they're priced about double what they're worth. But I always preferred Kimber and Colt anyway, so no big loss (Really diggin' my R1 now, though).

DW makes an incredible 1911, and even though they have gone up in the past few years, so has their quality. They're about as nice as it gets for a production 1911 and far nicer than any other production 1911 I've owned/shot. HOWEVER, the Havok/Titan etc are pricey, but I'm sure they're nice. If you can get hold of one, go for it.
