Greetings All,
Had a very nice day at the Valley Forge Gun show. I'm just a really happy camper today, and needed to share.
My girlfriend asked me if I would like to go to the gun show, because she wanted to buy me a new pistol for my birthday. My birthday still isnt for two weeks...but close enough. Yeah, she certainly is a keeper!
I was looking for either the new CZ RAMI or a SA Milspec, but I got neither. From one of the vendors at the far back end of the show, I heard her calling my name...and I could not resist.
My NIB (ORM) Colt Commander!
I think I did pretty good... I got her for $510.00 out the door. Granted she sports the ORM, but she is brand spanking new and awfully pretty. The pistol is very nicely put together, fairly tight, nice and smooth inside and out, and the trigger is really sweet right out of the box. I cannot find any machining marks on her at all. So you guys (and gals) think the price was alright?
I hope to be able to get to the range in the morning. I don't think I'll be able to handle just looking at this pistol for much longer.
Well sorry for the rambling. I just had to share. I'll post a range report if anyone is interested, following the maiden voyage.
Happy shooting,
Mike
