Our clean up was a huge success despite a few obstacles. It rained all day, but it didn't dampen our clean up crew. They kicked arse from 9am until after 1pm.
Scuffy from HuntWa forum donated the use of his mid size Kubota tractor with a front end loader and pickup truck to haul trash with a 7' X 14' dump trailer he borrowed from a guy he works with at Boeing.
I used my Ford f250 - 4x4 pickup and I borrowed a 6' X 10' dump trailer from a HuntWa forum member.

We had right about thirty people show up to clean up the trash. They did a marvelous job.
Scuffy called the transfer station in Rockport and asked if we could dump the dump trailers at their facility and the woman said YES.
Well we could of dumped them there, but not over the high curb they have there so we literally drive another fifty miles all the way to the other side of the County to the other transfer station over
By Anacortes.
The first trip with the two dump trailers was just under ten tons, $101 a ton to dump the trash.
Just under $1,000and the next morning we loaded up the rest of the trash in the small dump trailer and that was another $201 to dump. We loaded up the back of my small pickup truck a couple of weeks before the big clean up and that was just under half a ton, $47 to dump it.
We were going to clean up the 435th Ave pit but switched it up and cleaned up the two pits on the Suaittle River Road.

They are 98% cleaned up. Twelve tons of trash.
I will be taking my grandson to the 435th ave pit in a couple of hours and might stay the night up there tonight. It will give me time to clean up some more trash at this pit.
I'd like to Thank everyone involved in the clean up, that could not of been done with out you guys.

The Cowboy Camp pit will be the next big clean up.
I will post it when I get the date figured out.

I took my grandson to the 435th ave pit yesterday afternoon and we camped last night at the Stillaguamish river site. A friend brought two of his grandsons, 6 & 9 years old. Yesterday was his youngest grandsons first time actually shooting a real gun. The young guy got to shoot a Rossi semi-auto 22lr, my grand son's 22lr Savage Rascle and a 9mm semi-auto pistol. To start my friend only loaded one cartridge at a time, then loaded more after he become familiar with the guns.
I picked up all the shotgun hulls from the top pit and a 1/4 of a bucket of steel rifle & pistol cases.
Down in the lower pit a bunch of kids were shooting their 223 AR15 rifles with bump-stocks. I picked up nine pounds of 223 brass and about a pound of 308 cases.
The kids had a great time up there. I did buy a container of tannerite from Walmart and it didn't explode. I will be taking the container back for a refund.
It rained last night and this morning so we got up at 6am and came home.
The other half is gone to the casino for the day so it's my 5 O'Clock Budweiser Time. Three down and many more to follow.
