Today I went to Natchez's website to look for reloading primers and on their homepage it reads:
Effective 06/28/2022 FedEx will require a valid governmentment-issued photo ID for Hazmat deliveries. https://www.natchezss.com
I followed the link to FedEx's website and sure enough they are going to start scanning your ID as proof of delivery. It also says, "Our software does not record any other personal data (e.g., driver's license number, phone number(s), birthdate, home address, etc.). However, capturing the recipient’s first initial and last name is part of the existing proof of delivery process for all signature deliveries and will be retained only as long as necessary." https://www.fedex.com/en-us/delivery-options/signature-services.html
How long will my personal information be "retained only as long as necessary"? It makes you wonder if this info is shared with other agencies. How easy is it hack/access this data from FedEx?
This means any ammo, primers, powder, or other hazardous materials will only be delivered by FedEx once they scan your ID and it is retained in their software. Maybe I am over reacting but does anyone else see a problem?
I am not a fan of this.
