I decided to update the Davey Crickett with an adult-sized stock. I opted for the wood stock. I am impressed by the quality of the wood. Like the original, tiny stock it is held in place by a single screw. The good news is that not only did the company send a 'security bit' to take off the old star-shaped one but included a new single-slot regular head screw.
The old stock had an overall length of 20.5 inches and a length of pull of 11.5". The new stock is 25.5" total with a 13.5" L.o.P.
My one gripe is that the new stock makes it a little more difficult to reach the cocking knob. See pics.

These two pics are for comparison of the old and new stocks

Pics for comparison of a Ruger 10/22 with a collapsible stock and the cocking knob.
The fit is good on the new stock. The trigger guard is polymer and is screwed into the wood.

cool. I've never been to the Crickett web site, so didn't know they had so many other itmes for sale.
Grankids' Crickett is in danger of becoming repurposed!

I'm going to have to upgrade my daughters Chipmunk one of these days. She has outgrown it and taken a liking to my 63 Winchester!
