Hello everyone
Yes, I made the mistake of buying a Davis derringer in .22MAG to play around with. I brought it home, cleaned it up and went out to try it out. I loaded up, pulled back the hammer, pulled the trigger...and click. The gun didnt fire. Didn't even make a mark on the rim.
I thought that there may be some problem with the firing pin. So that leads to my question: Do the Davis derringers have anything in the firing pins that give it tension? Such as a spring.. The firing pins will easily slide in and out just by moving the gun around. I dont have much experience with Davis or derringers at all. That just seem abnormal to me.
I'd like to get the gun in working condition if possible. Any ideas or suggestions and answers are always appreciated. Thanks!
