interesting day with chronograph.took all 4 45 colt sa 2 uberti 2 ruger all 5 shot strings with pet load of 5.5 grns f n100 w/180 hard cast.first up 4" birds head uberti ave vel 751 about where I thought,next 5.5" uberti ave vel 787 again about where I expect. Heres where it gets interesting 3 3/4" birds head vaquero ave vel 848.I shoot another string ave 839,I go back and shoot another out of ubertis 752 and 802 respectivey. then I shoot 2 strings with 5.5 vaquero 811 then 820. also bh vaquero has a little more report and is the only stainless gun of the four.don't know if its tighter chambers or stainless sealing better. wonder if any one else has ever had similar findings.
ps. also had maiden outing with krag carbine wow what a shooter 110 years young had two three shot 2" 100 yard groups.
