Like bailer, I can probably hook you up with a 9.3x74R. Drop us a mail when ready. Curious - where are you in NC?
Varies between the foothills and coast. I spend generous time in both areas. Currently looking to consolidate in a permanent spot on the southern NC coast.

Would really prefer a lighter caliber like 7X57, or Flatbush Harry's 6.5X55 (my favorite deer cartridge). But if either can't be found at an affordable (for me) price, a 9.3 would do nicely on all these hogs. I could probably sit on my back porch at night a pick 'em off (assuming NCDNR approves hunting pigs at night!)

But would a 7.62x39mm revolver sell? What's the practical application? You lose a lot of efficiency from the shorter barrel and even more from the cylinder gap.
I wouldn't buy one.
I don't know if anyone else would or not, but I bet the reason Ruger isn't making such a gun is because they'd be unsure about how it would sell.
But LCP's, LCR's, and take-down 10/22's make the shooting public happy and they sell. Coupled with the great customer service I've gotten from Ruger, I'd say they have a really good thing going.
