Thank you. I'm not sure who built the rifle, but I'll find out. Yes, it's on a Mauser action, and I think it's a CZ or Interarms.

CZ based on the bolt release and integral scope bases.

Wayne over at American Hunting Rifles does amazing work with CZ's and is worth looking at.

I am one of the pointy stick crowd. I am a Ruger fan when you talk single action revolvers, or the newer autos. I own 4 Ruger handguns presently. I will never buy another Ruger rifle as long as I can shoot. I have had horrible luck with them, and I know it is probably not the norm but I just can't do it. I would buy a Savage 116 bear hunter in .338 Win Mag. If you want a pretty rifle, I would buy the CZ 550 Magnum Express rifle in .338 LM or .416.
