Any decent inexpensive 9mm semi-auto rifles out there?

I know there's the hi-point 995, but I'm wondering if there are any other options.

The Kel Tec Sub 2000 looks neat. I also like the Marlin Camp 9 if you can find them.

Kel-tec sub 2000, you can get one that uses glock mags for 300-400. 30 rounds, woohoo.
Or if you are feeling spendy you could look at the beretta cx4. About twice as much, but they look and "feel" really nice. Never shot one myself though.

CX4 is out due to price. I can't have 30 round mags in NJ so that's not a selling point

I bought a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 about a month ago. I paid about 445, including taxes and fees. I overpaid, but they're darn hard to find in my neck of the woods, and I support my local shops. And, I don't like buying ANYTHING over the internet, much less high-dollar items.

It's an ok gun, I've got about 300 rounds through it right now. probably 5-6 failures to feed, so far. a couple have been magazine related, and the others have been double-feed situations. I'm told to expect some hiccups in the breakin phase.

It is fun to shoot, but just a heads up, if you have a narrow face like me, it'll mess with you some. after about 100 rounds through mine, it starts getting a little sore on my cheek bone. This is related to the blowback action. Theres a lot of mass slamming around under just a piece of metal from your face. I'm working on building a little cheekpad to strap on.

Accuracy is pretty decent. Haven't tried a benchrest, but standing and shooting offhand, it stays inside a 6 inch shoot-n-c at 25 yards.

As for magazines, I've got the Glock 9mm version. I like it, but if you look at www.kel-tec-cnc.com, they've got a whole bunch of different magazine compatabilites.

Long story short, I like it enough to keep it, but I don't think I'd buy another. It's fun to shoot, it folds up really nice and small and the accuracy is acceptable.

Worth the money, in my opinion.

Is there an aversion to the Hi Point? They are the most amazing sub $200 gun I've owned.

I've never had a complaint or anyone express disappointment after purchasing one at my recommendation.

Don't waste your money on the Beretta CX4. Not as accurate and can't shoot +P, which in and of itself is not a big deal, but it might imply something about barrel/chamber quality and perhaps longevity.

If you're just looking to plink around with something, the HiPoint would be a decent choice. Put a red dot on it for more fun.

The KelTec is nice and slick with that folding feature, but the ergos are pretty uncomfortable.

Hi Point!!

We sell a BUNCH of those (anti-pretty) 9mm and .40 Cal. carbines. They are reliable and they are plenty accurate. You can buy several to share with friends and family!

The best inexpensive 9x19mm rifle currently available is the Hi-Point 995.
It may look fugly, but it's reliable.
ATI does make a replacement stock, which makes it look kinda like a Beretta CX-4.

The Kel-Tec SUB-2000 is another decent low priced 9x19mm rifle.

If you can find them, check out the Ruger PC-9.
They've been discontinued, but they are excellent 9x19mm rifles in the $400-600 range.

for about that price you could build a 9mm AR...

Why in the name of God would you do that??

Cause they are a riot on the pistol range. Since I got mine, the 5.56 cal rifle seldom gets shot anymore. If you have to ask, you have probably never shot one......

another vote for the cx4

I do all my shooting indoors and wanted a rifle in a pistol caliber. I looked all over the place for the same thing and did my homework before buying. I've posted the below pictures before but don't have any others so I'll do it again. I found it on the used rack and paid $350 for it. It has been 100% reliable and is a lot of fun to shoot.
