I bought a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 about a month ago. I paid about 445, including taxes and fees. I overpaid, but they're darn hard to find in my neck of the woods, and I support my local shops. And, I don't like buying ANYTHING over the internet, much less high-dollar items.
It's an ok gun, I've got about 300 rounds through it right now. probably 5-6 failures to feed, so far. a couple have been magazine related, and the others have been double-feed situations. I'm told to expect some hiccups in the breakin phase.
It is fun to shoot, but just a heads up, if you have a narrow face like me, it'll mess with you some. after about 100 rounds through mine, it starts getting a little sore on my cheek bone. This is related to the blowback action. Theres a lot of mass slamming around under just a piece of metal from your face. I'm working on building a little cheekpad to strap on.
Accuracy is pretty decent. Haven't tried a benchrest, but standing and shooting offhand, it stays inside a 6 inch shoot-n-c at 25 yards.
As for magazines, I've got the Glock 9mm version. I like it, but if you look at
www.kel-tec-cnc.com, they've got a whole bunch of different magazine compatabilites.
Long story short, I like it enough to keep it, but I don't think I'd buy another. It's fun to shoot, it folds up really nice and small and the accuracy is acceptable.
Worth the money, in my opinion.
