anyone have any experience with the Leatherwood Hi Lux scope. it is in the $300 range, but it is comparable to the Accupoint scopes. its a bit heavy though and its a 1-4 power but doesnt have a true 1x.

Like I said in the other thread, some of us learned the hard way about cheap scopes and avoid them like the plague. Some, obviously, have yet to learn. Some are lucky and will never have to. I'm not much of a gambler.

I don't think one can judge by price or brand in our global market, I've owned Leupold,Burris,Nikon, Mueller, Bushnell, weaver at one time I considered Burris to have the best glass but outsourcing has changed it all now below $700 its the luck of the draw, never paid over $700 so can't comment on that category, quality control is not what it once was in some products, IMO.

Don't go with the simmons 4x32 8-point scope. I have one and it is horrible. paid 35$ Its clear but it feels cheap and it inst accurate for me. The adjustable focus is loose and changes poi.
