Decision Time: Garand or 1911

I think I will have to go with the Garand then. I have avout 1400rnds of surplus (Korean?) sitting in the garage that would go to good use. Plus with my C&R and recent NRA membership CMP here I come!

I would never own a 1911, so it's an easy choice for me.

'pends on what else you have. If you already have a good "duty sized" handgun (full-sized .38/9x19mm-.357/10mm/.45), get the Garand. If you don't, get the 1911. If you already have good full-power rifles and duty-sized handguns, do what you feel.
