A recent post elsewhere about preferred decocker system reminded me I had a question involving a CZ75D compact.
I purchased a Czech issue holster from SG Ammo.com. Good company apropos of nothing...
Upon arrival I begain "playing" with the new toy.
The pistol fits perfectly until one needs to secure the thumb break strap with the pistol at half cock, or decocked if you prefer.
As these are sold as unissued duty holsters I imagine the weapons were not equipped with decockers?
This seems the simplest explanation.
Its not a pressing issue as this was purchased to compliment my cold war(ish) collection of mag pouches, holsters, cleaning kits etc.
I also wanted a holster for range use as packing the firearm up in its case is annoying just to visit the head or a friend a few stalls away.
Yeah, there's a question in this meandering verbiage somewhere...
here it is.
Is the CZ75D capable of carefully lowering the hammer on a loaded chamber after decocking or not?
Similar to dropping thehammer on a Colt Navy or similar. Trigger/hammer manipulation.
I have no real desire to actually do this, I'm just curious.
Reading that thread reminded me Id never found an answer so I thought Id post her up here.
Thanks all.
