Wow that would be a scary situation!! It is really sad that the little boy got injured, but I can't say I blame the father for shooting. Once the bg wanted to the doors unlocked it took this situation to a whole new level.

Media Bias

The article makes the law seem somehow negative. Perhaps the reporter would have allowed the perpetrator to carjack and kill his family in name of gun safety.

It is laws like this and people utilizing them exactly as they were intended that make me so proud to be Floridian!

It doesn't matter if the father was licensed to carry a gun or not. You can carry a loaded weapon in the glove box of your vehicle WITHOUT a permit.

What I posted on another similar thread:

This was (and still is) a tragic event for this boy and his family but things could have gone much worse. Not only could both the father and son been killed by this scum bag but he could have robbed and killed others in the future. At least one good thing that came out of this event was that this waste of humanity was prevented, permenantly, from endangering anyone else in the future. When will criminals here in Florida learn, targeting our average law abiding citizens for crime can be a death sentence?[/I]
