I'm in Wilmington, Delaware, and looking to take a NRA training class or a training class taught by a certified NRA instructor to fulfill the training requirement for the Florida non-resident CCW.

The only place I've found that offers this type of class is targetmasters, just across the border in PA. Any experience with them (good or bad)?

Any other places I should look at?

Thanks.

Hey, I just moved out of Wilmington!

I never took any classes at Targetmaster, but I shot there many times and purchased a gun there. Every time they struck me as very professional and helpful. For what it's worth, anyway ...

I'd try the Ommelanden state range (http://www.dnrec.state.de.us/fw/huedfall.pdf). It appears they don't offer any courses of that type, but they should be able to put you in touch with anybody who does, especially if they are using their range. Hope that helps.

I forget the name of the business, but isn't there a firing range/ gun store (check the Verizon yellow pages under gun dealers/ gunsmith's) in Georgetown (Sussex County) that does handgun courses? I think you should give him a phone call. The place is small, and operated on a farm. I visited his shop once- anybody else here know who I am thinking of?

Do you already have a CCW that required some kind of training? You might be able to use that to get your FL permit. That's what I did?
