dents and tiny gouges

I have a few marks on wooden stocks any product I should look at instead of stain to help hide them? One is on a gray laminate stock. Dropped my pistol from the shelf in the safe Not a happy camper

A damp washcloth and clothes iron will lift small dents and dings. Just be sure to check it often as you don't want to raise the area higher than the surrounding wood.

Yes, but..

Be careful, the steam will often remove some or all of the finish, including stain.
