VISTA, Calif. -- Sheriff's deputies arrested a possibly suicidal Vista man after he allegedly rammed a patrol car and tried to run one of them down.

Authorities were called to the home of Samuel Raygoza, 31, at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday. Raygoza's wife told them that he was intoxicated, armed with a knife and threatening suicide. When deputies arrived, they found Raygoza sitting in his car. They ordered him out, but he drove off.

After Raygoza rammed the patrol car, deputies fired several shots at him, but he drove off again. Deputies eventually forced Raygoza's Mazda Miata to stop under a Highway 78 overpass at Melrose Drive. They ordered him out of the car again, but he refused.

Deputies fired two beanbag rounds at Raygoza. He was taken into custody after a a sheriff's dog was brought in and bit him.

Raygoza was transported to a hospital and treated for two gunshot wounds and two broken arms. He faces several felony charges.

The deputy who shot Raygoza was put on routine administrative leave during the investigation of the incident.

Since there seems to be an increased trend in people trying to run over other people (well, at least Cops) I was wondering if any of you have practiced for a scenario where you'd have to use your CCW against a vehicle?
Do you know how your weapon/load performs against auto glass?
One example is a fast light JHP vs a heavier slower JHP when considering application of said round.
