First - Hello, this may be my first post here but, I've been here many times before and have found this site very informative. Now I've come here for the collective knowledge that I hopefully can tap into.

When I was younger I remember seeing the "War Eagle" in a Gun Digest. At the time I was very enamored with it. I remember it came in numerous calibers (9mm, .40,.10mm, & 45). It was produced by Desert Industries. I can not find a picture of it anywhere or even a reference of it on the internet. Can anyone find a link or a picture of it.

Welcome to THR!

Are you sure you are not thinking of the Desert Eagle, by Israeli Miltary Industries (see also Magnum Research Inc)?

A quick search shows the the pistol is not liked by the blissninies in Massachusettes.:barf: Still looking.

I own a Desert Eagle and there is no resemblance. This was a mid to late eighties manufacture. I remember(from the profile) the slide coming down to nearly "hide" the frame. The lines of the gun were very clean.

No links. No pics. Probably defunct:

Desert Industries "War Eagle"

Previous manufacturer located in Las Vegas, NV 1991-1996. See listing under Steel City Arms, Inc. for older models.

In 1990, Desert Industries, Inc. was created - this new company was the same as Steel City Arms, Inc. More recently manufactured guns will have the Las Vegas slide address.

From a list of Las Vegas CNC Machine Shops:

Desert Industries, Inc. 4755 Nevso Drive Las Vegas NV (702) 597-1066

I got it...

sorry for the poor quality. I had to photgraph the page, as I have no scanner.

It's listed in .380, 9mm, 40 s&w, 10mm, and .45acp. double action. 4" barrel.

It was introduced 1991 and listed as still in production in 1996, when this book was published.

I can't argue with that picture....sure looks like a "War Eagle" to me. ;)

However...the first thing that popped into my mind when the question was asked was the old Jericho 941 (also made by IMI and currently still available as the Baby Eagle). The Jericho originally came in a kit. The kit included 2 barrels (9mm and .41AE), ammo, magazines, etc.

It was also available in .40 and .45 ACP. So if the gun posted by ewb45acp isn't what you are looking for, perhaps this one is: Jericho

Here is how it came in the box:

Yes, yes that's it!! Does anyone have any other info on this gun??

Thanks to ewb45acp, we now have a picture. It was apparently in production for at least 5 years. Has anyone ever seen one? If so, what was the fit and finish? ...and pricing?
