My heart would say M1 Garand, but My brain says AR-15. Those two are the only rifles on your list suitable for a serious rifleman with the enfield and Finn mosin coming in at a distant 3rd and 4th.

The M1 Garand is fun to shoot, but the AR-15 is much cheaper to shoot and will be more accurate to boot.

Jeez, but ARs are a little pricey for me! Even the cheaper ones stretch my upper limit.
Build one. It won't save you any money, probably even cost some more since you need tools and you may buy some pricier custom parts. However, you can buy a lower with this week's paycheck, get a lower parts kit next, the following check get a barrel, etc.

I really like the AR, but the lack of full-auto really puts a damper on my spirits. Same with the AK.
Full auto is over rated. And with todays ammo prices a huge money suck.

I shot a full auto M16. I wasn't too impressed. Very difficult to hit a 6" target with more than two rounds anywhere past 50 yards. I'd rather practice double taps and hammers with my semi-auto AR15.

If you want a rifle you can do pretty much anything with, go with a CMP service grade Garand... you can use it for plinking, hunting, and competition if you so desire. Surplus 30-06 is quite reasonable right now and the Greek HXP is very good quality. Good quality Garands won't be around for too much longer and due to their collectable nature their value will only go up if the need should arise down the road to sell it.
