I need some instruction on how to re-install the hammer strut & spring on a Marlin Camp 9.
Bear in mind this plea is coming from an old man with shaky hands, carpal tunnel and bad eyes!
I bought the rifle for a relatively good price, and having previous knowledge about the gun's idiosyncracies, ordered up a Wolff extra power spring & heavy-duty blackjack buffer. I discovered that one of the little ears on hammer strut bridge was broken off when I took the rifle apart and stuff kind of zinged across the room.
I didn't have any trouble with the new recoil spring and buffer but after I got the new bridge from Numerich, I saw I really had problems. I've looked at exploded diagrams until my eyes bled but I can't seem to figure out how to keep the strut & spring in place while trying to figure out how to get that bridge in right.
I'd surely appreciate any help.
