I haven't detail stripped the 226 before; I've done 1911s and Glocks but the SIG always seemed daunting to me for some reason. But after many thousands of rounds it was getting pretty cruddy in the crevices and the trigger was getting gritty, so I pulled it apart. Youtube vids helped a lot (I'm a visual learner). I got the frame back together fine but the breech block pins both broke upon removal (I assume that's pretty common on older ones?)
I used the proper roll pin punches and removed the inner pin first, then the outer. I have replacements from Brownell's on the way. Any comments/input?
Any tips on installation? I have roll pin holders if that helps.
