Detailed cleaning of CCW Glock

I've heard reputable sources say that the lower half of the gun needs no maintenance for 5K + rounds. I clean my slide out every few hundred just to avoid build up. There's really nothing to them. All you need is a punch (Glock makes one) to completely disassemble. The most important thing is to keep the firing pin channel clean and free of oil.

Safety check your Glock and pull the trigger, then shake it. You should hear a little ting noise that is the striker moving freely in the slide. If you can't hear that, it's gunked up.

Glocks are perfect, in my opinion. Best fighting pistol you can get for 500 bucks.

Just do a normal cleaning, dish soap and water, then lube the factory recommended parts.

Honestly, I've shot the guns to the point that they were filthy. I mean like 3000 rounds then another couple hundred suppressed, wet, with Wolf ammo. They still worked and they had a black boogery sludge in them.

Don't detail strip. that's not necessary. I honestly can't think of the last time I had an issue with the Glock.
