My experience with Dick's in Kansas City is their ammo is priced so high that even with half off you are hardly saving any. Certainly not enough to go much out of your way.

Stopped by Dick's in Saginaw, Mi. this evening looking for some pistol ammo, zip, nada, zilch not a round to be found, lots of shotgun but no rifle, no pistol and no 22 rimfire.

I work at Dicks. You can bring in the online coupons. You can only use one at a time, so we cross one off, then hand it back to you. Many Dicks carry handgun ammo, but don't re-order. They are trying to phase it out. Yesterday I sold a case of .45ACP Winchester for 13.98 a box, (ten boxes). I also rung up this guy buying a $1,400 Franchi. We don't carry the coupons in the store, just rebate slips for ammo. Good deal on buckshot at my store, too bad I don't get any employee discounts on ammo. We also don't carry .357Sig Unfortunately.

You're gonna get it twisted, just like I did last year. It's buy one, get the next one at 50% off, limit of six, total. So if you have a box of .223 50 round VP for $19.99, the next is half that, or $9.99. Times the two of them together three times, plus tax (6% here) ... $95.34, instead of $127.14. It's nice, but not phenomenal. The real deals are to be found at gun web sites and on Craig's List. For instance, I picked up 500 rounds of .223 55 gr FMJ, decent stuff, new in the box, for $150, and 1,000 rounds of real-deal milspec M193 5.56 for $360, both private web deals.

150 packs of Ultramax would be at 30 cents a round
