If it were 10 or more = high capacity, then I couldn't have bought my SMLE when I lived in MA.

my understanding is "high capacity" only refers to semi automatic arms not bolt, lever, or pump. ( wich is why i was able to buy my 590)

If you want to buy ammo at 50% off everytime you buy you need to reload. Seriously you will save 50% or more depending on what caliber you are loading and what type of bullet. The only ammo I buy is Rimfire.

all I can say is that the last weekend I visited Dick's in Jacksonville FL. They had Remington .35 Rem 200 grain Core-Lokt for $12.95. As far as I am concerned, thats a deal. I bought a number of boxes.

I don't have a lot of experience with Dick's but it seems to me they do have a fair number of more obscure stuff, and often 5 or 6 boxes of them. I don't know why, but the few times I have been to the local Dick's they have little in the way of the common stuff I use. Maybe it is their niche.

To be fair, the 50% deal is still a savings.

The flyer on Sunday stated $6.48 per box (less than case quantity)/$8.99 per box reg price - 9 mm. Thursday's flyer is $$7.98/$9.99, respectively. Maximum number of total boxes for buy one/50% off another is 6 boxes.

6 boxes of Rem UMC 9 mm Sunday would have been $38.88 total. On Friday/Saturday, it would be $35.91 total. So there in fact would be a savings.

Only wished it was buy one/50% another unlimited quantities at Sunday's prices.

I worked there once upon a time. Management was/is completely laughable. I had lots of firearms and biking experience, so they put me in camping. A buddy had lots of paintball experience, so he also went in camping. The semi-pro golfer went to the shoe department, and the weight-lifter went to apparel.

One day I was behind the counter in the hunting department and a guy brought in a rifle he'd picked up at a pawn shop. They had told him it was a 7mm mag, which it wasn't, and the scope that came on it was broken. I got him a new scope, mounted it, got him the right ammo, and showed him how to remove the bolt (Mauser action). He was very grateful and I'm sure was a repeat customer. Manager's comment? "Don't ever do that again, now if he has a problem with his rifle he can blame us for it." Yes, they yelled at me for doing a good job. I quit shortly thereafter, and I don't buy anything there now.

Oh yeah, they bought out a REAL store - Galyan's. Got rid of eeeeevil handguns, got rid of used firearms and post "clearance" stickers that are the same as the original price.
Around here, after they took over they even got rid of HOLSTERS!

B&S is illegal. I'm sure a big well-known company like Dicks wouldnt do that.

edit: I'm not sure what thats called, but it isnt bait and switch. B&S is like advertising a Moss 500 on sale, then you go to the store and they say theyre out of the 500 and try to get you to buy something more expensive.

I wanted to get a box of .308, and I went to Dick's because of the time of day it was - no other gunstores open. I looked a few boxes, selected one, asked the price. They couldn't tell me.

They didn't know what the price of an item was. The register didn't tell them. The special scanner was broken. The manager was missing in action.

I walked out to calls of "wait, we'll get it!"

I went to Dicks once and the guy who was working in hunting was hugging and cuddling with (I'm assuming) his girlfriend behind the counter. He seemed kind of angry that I was cutting in  lol. Now I pretty much just go to Wal-Mart for routine stuff like .22 ammo.

I do not care for Dick's AT ALL...

I don't have a lot of experience with Dick's ...

Dick's sucks.

Sorry...I just though this makes for a great double-entendre tread...

Delete if necessary, and apologies in advance.

Wow, post #696, and I just sold mine. Must be something cosmic, or "Kahr"-mic, about that.
