Dicks Sporting Good Sale

Just thought it might be worth mentioning that Dicks is having a sale on their entire firearm line. Even though many here swear Dicks Sporting Goods is an evil store, I like the people that work the firearm department, I can usually find what I am looking for (sling swivel, choke tube, heavy dove loads etc etc) and they do have good prices on things.

Anyway, $100 off any gun over $800, $30 off any gun $600 to $799 and I think I saw $20 off anything under $599.

Beretta 391 Urika Optima 28" usually $839 for $739! I might get two.

Bass Pro shops is also having a smaller sale, I picked up a 10/22 for $20 off

Dick's Sporting Goods once sold me two cases of Remington-UMC 9mm for $5.38 per case. I don't think I will ever see that deal again.

I bought two unopened cases, and the bar code on each case rang up the price of just one box.

I haven't been back to Dick's since that happened. However, The Sports Authority now cuts open ALL cases and prices each box individually. I'm guessing some of their employees made the same mistake.

Yah, friend of mine got a thousand Blazers at Academy for $3.89 because the case barcode brought up the box price. He was ethical and told the clerk what was going on but she said that was what the computer showed so it must be right. He quit arguing, paid his $4.20 and went on his way.

FWIW, I consider myself to be an honest person. If a clerk hands me too much change, I will give back the difference. But it is the store's responsibility to make sure everything is properly priced and that their employees are properly trained. If they undercharge me, it's not my fault.

Hey, I'm not proud... Little while back, large boxmart near me had Bud for sale for $8.39/case... Shoulda been $8.39/12-pack. That pallet went FAST.

I was prepared to buy much more in the first place. Long before I knew I was getting such a deal, I asked them how many unopened cases they had, and it was only two.
