I just got done reloading some 357's. 15 grains H110 with a CCI SPM( old red and white box)with a 158 sjhp. I loaded 50 primers in my Lee auto prime that's mounted on my press. 1 of the cases was damaged going into my riged powder measure so I tossed the case out. I finally finished loading all 50 cases, I should have been short 1 primer. I know a standard spp was left in primer tray and was loaded into one of the cases. I eye balled every primer and can't find it. I know the charge isn't real high but might the outcome be? I feel like a complete idiot as I pride myself on checking and double checking my components so things like this don't happen.

If you are at the low side of the loads, you should just experience more recoil and possibly a bit louder.

Are your cartridges so accrately weighed that you could go back and weigh each one to find the culprit?

How about a STRONG MAGNET? Test one primer to see if a magnet attracts it. If it does, then try rolling them on a strong magnet then see if they want to hang from the magnet, not from the seated primer, but from the hidden one.

Take them all to the ER and have them all X-Rayed (of course, all laid out so one X-Ray would do it).

Won't hurt a thing priming one with a standard primer. It may not do quite as well as the others with mag primers since it is H-110, but it won't hurt a thing. No sweat.

Inside the case? Hmmm. Well, it won't blow you up, if that is worrying you. I wouldn't even worry about it riding down the barrel, it's soft brass.

Why would the case with a regular primer be loader and have more recoil than the ones loaded with mag primers? I was afraid of maybe a slow ignition or something like that.

Agh, primed. OK. No worries. Perhaps, as you are concerned, it won't burn as well, but nothing dangerous. Just make sure all the bullets exit the barrel before pulling the trigger again.
